I think the tendency of some people is to go it alone. They have come to the conclusion that they are stronger by themselves. They are mistaken. When Jesus sent out his disciples, He sent them in teams. When the apostles were about the Masters business, they were usually doing so in groups. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Says "Two are better than one, because they have good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him - a threefold cord is not quickly broken". There you go, Biblical proof we are stronger with others!

This is really good! I believe we all have fears at some point in time. I know I do, but as with everything else it's all in the approach. I like the way you worked through the entire Christian Coaching Model with just questioning on a specific topic. I think I may have to do this myself as it seems like good practice!

Janice,

This is such a great topic. It is so needed. Many people suffer from their own negative self-talk. They do not realize that to some extent they are their own enemy working against what Christ has placed into them through His death and resurrection - that being the power of of Holy Spirit dwelling in us. We have been saved through faith and created for His workmanship (Ephesians 2:8-10). Negative self-talk is a tool of the enemy. My prayer is that the Lord would use me to help others break free from negative-self talk. For some, this is the biggest obstacle they have to overcome before moving into where the Lord wants them to be.

One of my pre-eminent thoughts regarding clients being overwhelmed, exhausted and lost, is, that, my being 60 years old, our circumstances have to be similar at some point in our lives, and the fact that we are being trained to be engaged and empathetic listeners, we should be the ideal coach for this client. Assuming that we have found our niche, and having developed our own usefulness of the 9 IAC Masteries, I feel well-prepared to delve into this and other aspects of the coach-client relationship.

This is my passion and heartbeat to see clients, friends and family discovering their sweet spot and living in it. I believe that our sweet spot is biblical (Psalm 139 ... Psalm 138:8, Eph 2:10) along with varying books in the new testament that highlight spiritual gifts affirm that each of us are created with a certain "bent" and it is God' lovely design that our sweet spot intersects a great need in this world. When these two intersect, God is glorified and put on display powerfully and beautifully.

Janice
Thank you so much for reminding me about the importance of speaking to myself in a kindly manner. After all, I spend more time with me than anyone else besides God and the dark one. I wonder if that old snake Satan isn’t the one who always encourages me to belittle myself or create negative self-talk.
I sometimes forget that Jesus instructed me in the Great Commandment, to love my neighbor as myself. This implies that I am to love myself. I can be my biggest critic. I will give myself a break and not condemn, criticize or complain about me. I will stop listening to those negative impulses and believe that “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” Phil 4:13

Perfect for our conversation today! While it would be the easiest to quit one project before starting another, it is the perservance to complete one project while leaning on God to find the courage and patience to start the next project because He picked this time and trusting in Him that it is according to His plan.
You are full of amazing inspirations - thank you for sharing!!

Amen.

I am going through a metamorphosis of my own and the analogy with the butterfly makes perfect sense. Thank you for that visual.

At times, I would love nothing more than for someone to come along and slice the bottom of my cocoon; but I must realize that such a release would only bring pain.

God has a perfect plan and design for my metamorphosis. I pray that He bathes me in patience as I wait to emerge.

Blessings On Your Day,

Shelly

F. E. A. R. - False Expectations Appearing Real

It is never a sign of Wisdom for us to treat something as Real when in Truth, it is actually False.

Surely that is in Proverbs somewhere, right? :O)
